Imagine yourself in a 4X4 SUV, cruising down the meandering roads of the hills, to this quaint little place in the woods, surrounded by mountains. There’s a rivulet running through, perfect spot for a “picture perfect� moment. Spend some time walking around the site mesmerized by this marvel of nature. We endeavour to make this more than a camping trip. The ambience we create, the experiences we curate, all have the unmistakable ETO Landers' stamp. A personal BBQ, delicious meals, a special meal under a tree, a sundowner surrounded by the warmth of a cosy bonfire, under starlit skies or on a beach. These will be in and around our ETO Land, Marchula Sierra, which is in the middle of nature yet with access to ETO Land cottage amenities. If you want to amp up your camping experience, feel free to lend a hand in chopping firewood and getting the fire started.

Best time to go
Though anytime is a good time to go for overland camping, Corbett is best visited anytime except the monsoon as the river is best enjoyed when it is calm and serene. It paves the way for exciting off-roading and overland camping.
Our top tips
Carry water shoes, trekking shoes and sports shoes for the various adventures. Slippers are perfect for the beach!
The weather can be unpredictable so carry umbrellas, raincoats as well as a warm jacket...or two!

Welcome to ETO Land, where you can cruise in with your overlander, park, overland and enjoy camping with comfort at the core, as you access ETO Land cottage and overlanding facilities. To make your overlanding escapade richer, you can choose to live the river and forest focused experiences and adventures we have curated. They are bound to leave you wanting for more.
Epic Expedition

A thrilling, multi-day expedition that begins from and culminates at our base camp, ETO Land Marchula Sierra, provides a game drive experience for overland camping enthusiasts. A planned path along the Jim Corbett jungle periphery, provides the perfect opportunity to live a nomadic life, moving from one destination to another, along the map. Live it up, in the outdoors, in either your or our overlander. Setting up overland tents, pitching 2 second tents, gathering and chopping wood to get bonfires going to cook over and crowd around, sleeping under the stars, all of it will add thrill and test your skill.

Your ETO Experience Manager will be at your door to pick you up in the ETO Lander, a sturdy Fortuner from our fleet. Built to take on any terrain, we chose these SUVs to ensure that you’ll cruise along comfortably to ETO Land Marchula Sierra. Kick back and relax as you listen to a specially curated playlist and enjoy meals at the out of the box pitstops. After a relaxed journey, you will reach the overlanding zone by 2 p.m. On arrival, soak in the stunning scenes as you sit by the river and sip on some piping hot tea or coffee. Feel free to explore the site, go for a walk. Later, get started with your overlanding adventure, as you set up the 6x6 hard shell, rooftop tent that will be your home for your stay. Once the tent is in place, set up the awning to create a sheltered, nook and a tiny kitchen for quick cooks. Quicker than setting up the rooftop tents is getting the 2-second tents done. True to their name, they take that much time. Relax around the warmth of the hypnotic bonfire and the sizzle, sozzle of delicious dinner. If you’re up for it, head for a night drive around the jungle’s periphery to spot wild animals.
Day - 2
Wake up to the refreshing sight and sound of the river. After a scrumptious breakfast, head off to get divine blessings at the Garjiya temple situated on a large rock in the Kosi river. Once you are back from delving in the divine, you can enjoy the river, sit on one of the many rocks on the bank, dip your feet in the refreshing water and read Jim Corbett’s book(s) on tigers. The water level is shallow enough in most seasons to walk across the river and head for a trek. Back at the overlanding site, kick back and relax or pitch in and cook up a storm if that’s your happy place. You’ll get all support to whip up some delicious dishes. Head out to gather and chop firewood and get the bonfire going for the evening. The night becomes even more magical as you look at the starlit sky when the entire zone’s lights are switched off for 20 minutes each night to do our bit towards the environment.
Day - 3
After a scrumptious breakfast, pack up the hard-shell rooftop tent and bid adieu to ETO Land. As you cruise back home in the ETO Lander, we hope that in your heart will be a promise to return and relive the overlanding adventure. Can’t wait to see you, with your tribe, again!

Later, you can trek to the temple atop a mountain, close to the ETO Land. After the night bonfire, if you are up to it, explore the vicinity and pay close attention to the animal calls from barking deer, jackals etc as sometimes it signals the presence of a leopard in the jungle.

Bring more wishes to fruition when you make a wish lantern out of recycled materials and let it go…the joy of creating such a thing of beauty and watching it fly away brings unparalleled levels of joy and excitement. Add to the happiness by donning the chef’s hat and whipping up your own barbeque meal that you can enjoy in the warmth of the bonfire and beautiful company. (psst…don’t worry we will give you all the ingredients and a sous chef to save the day, if needed)

If your overlander is a 4x4, then you can add more thrill to your day and head off to the suspension bridge in Marchula. You can attempt to cross the river in your 4x4 and get to the bridge. We did it and what an epic adventure it was! Try it if you dare. Back at the overlanding site, kick back and relax or pitch in and cook up a storm if that’s your happy place. You’ll get all support to whip up some delicious dishes. Head out to gather and chop firewood and get the bonfire going for the evening.
